Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED “Heartsaver Total"
Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
Basic Life Support & BLS Renewals
BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, for example, CNA’s, EMTs, Paramedics, Fire Fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. This course does not include a First Aid Portion. If you are wanting to register for a Renewal course you will need to do an online portion. Follow this link for the online portion called Heartcode BLS, you must email or bring in your online certificate to your class. BLS teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.
(YOUTH ONLY) Heartsaver CPR First Aid & AED (Ages 8-17)
This class is exclusively for youth ages 8–17, designed to empower Alaska’s next generation of helpers and leaders.
Students will learn Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, how to use an AED, and essential First Aid skills including how to recognize emergencies, respond safely, and provide care until help arrives. Upon successful completion, participants earn a two-year American Heart Association certification card.
It’s a fun, hands-on class built for young people to gain confidence, teamwork, and real-world readiness perfect for siblings or friends learning together.
SNACKS PROVIDED
New Parent/Babysitter CPR AED & First Aid
This course is for all new & seasoned parents & babysitters, also for anyone wanting to know a little more in depth abut CPR for children and infants. Heartsaver CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years.
Blended online & in person skills check, for all levels of CPR offered
If you are registering for this course, you must read below.
A blended course requires you to do an online portion. Follow this link for the online portion, select what type of course you would to take, then once completed you must email heartsoul.cpr.ak@gmail.com or bring in your online certificate to your course. You will then select what date you want to register for your in person skills sign off.
Babysitter Course + CPR & First Aid
During this course students will learn, child/infant safety. Food and nutrition for ages and stages, child development, entertainment and how to make a babysitter kit, some supplies provided. Students will also learn American Heart Association CPR for adult, child and infant and perform the skills and scenarios on manikins of different sizes/ ages. First Aid covers how to help in a Trauma Event (large/small open wounds, broke bones, shock, injured joints, concussions and how to use a tourniquet) and allergic reactions. 2 year American Heart Association CPR & First Aid for all ages after completion of course
